A couple months ago, a dear niece of mine gave me a quick drawing she did comparing 2 trees - one healthy, the other sick and dying. She labled the roots of each tree and how they impacted its growth - the diseased tree dying from the affects of a life lived for Self, while the healthy tree is nourished by the Fruit of the Spirit described in Galatians 5:22-23. She asked me to come up with a painting from her quick sketch. As I worked on it, I thought about Psalm 1 vs 3 says that a Blessed man "...is like a tree planted by streams of water that yields its fruit in its season, and its leaf does not wither."
